Hostage Negotiations for 1st Responders

This presentation will supply field officers with the tools they need to speak, talk and intervene if they respond to a barricaded gunman, hostage situation, jumper, etc. It will supply the officers with the tools they need to talk someone down from or slow down the situation. This course incorporates some roll-playing activities to enhance communications skills. It will examine negation techniques, time compression, intelligence gathering, and safety procedures.
